Terms and Conditions

1. Who provides the service?

CasePreparation is operated by CasePreparation Inc., at 9735 University Crescent, Burnaby, British Columbia V5A 0E8, Canada. Contact: info@casepreparation.com.

These terms apply to the online McKinsey Solve practice package. Personal coaching is booked separately and has its own booking terms. Your purchase confirmation records the package, amount paid and applicable access period.

2. Independent practice tool

CasePreparation is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by McKinsey & Company. Game names are used for identification only. The simulator is based on publicly available candidate accounts; its scenarios, content and interface are our own.

The real assessment may change. The invitation you receive from McKinsey determines the games, timing and instructions that apply to you. Practice scores do not predict or guarantee a recruitment result.

3. Free access

A free account includes one complete, timed scenario from each of Redrock Study, The Sea Wolf and the 20-minute Sustainable Futures Lab. You may replay these free scenarios as often as you like. No credit card is required. Detailed scores, feedback reports, downloadable PDFs, the 30-minute Lab format and the other scenarios require paid access.

Free access is limited to the designated free scenarios. Creating additional accounts does not unlock the paid scenarios or full reports.

4. Paid package and access period

One payment unlocks all three games, unlimited practice attempts and detailed reports for 12 months. Each completed paid run ends with its report and a PDF download. Completed runs with full access are saved in My reports for 60 days, up to 50 reports per account. The first free run saved for each game is kept for 30 days and its full report becomes available when you purchase access. Reports from runs completed before the archive was introduced may not be available. Download any PDF you want to keep longer. The package includes 15 Redrock Study scenarios, unlimited Sea Wolf gameplays and 10 Sustainable Futures Lab scenarios covering the offered formats.

Your 12-month access starts when the successful payment activates your account. The expiry date is shown in your account or purchase confirmation. This is not a subscription. There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge.

Unlimited practice means there is no daily cap on genuine individual practice attempts. It does not permit automated use, resale, account sharing or interference with the service. Reports can be downloaded for your personal use during access; keep copies you want to retain after expiry.

5. Price and payment

The Solve package is charged in US dollars (USD). The checkout displays the applicable price and any taxes or charges before you commit to purchase. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency conversion or fees. Promotional prices may change for future purchases; a later price change does not alter a completed purchase.

Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number or card security code on the practice platform. Access activates after payment is confirmed. If payment succeeds but access does not activate, contact us with your purchase reference.

6. Your account and permitted use

Keep your account details accurate and your login secure. Access is personal and cannot be transferred. Notify us if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You may use the simulator and reports for your own preparation. You must not redistribute scenarios, sell access, publicly publish substantial platform content, scrape the service, bypass access controls or use it to share confidential material from an actual assessment. This does not restrict rights that applicable law protects.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a working practice service throughout your paid access. Maintenance and technical interruptions may occur. We may update scenarios, fix errors and improve the interface without materially reducing the package you purchased.

If a problem prevents you from using the paid service, contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. Nothing in these terms removes your rights where digital content or services are faulty, unavailable or not as described.

8. Your 100% money-back guarantee

Prepare with us. If McKinsey rejects you after Solve and you meet all four conditions below, we refund your full payment.

To qualify you must meet these four conditions:

1. You have completed at least 5 full runs of each game before the day of your assessment. For Sustainable Futures Lab, 5 runs in total across the 20-minute and 30-minute formats qualify; you do not need 5 runs of each format.
2. McKinsey rejected you and your result is in the 7th decile or below; or, if your result is a numerical score, 510 or below.
3. You forward the official McKinsey message or a screenshot showing your result. Your name and the date must be visible.
4. You request your refund within 60 days of purchase.

For this guarantee, you must take the McKinsey Solve assessment after purchasing. Completed free runs count toward the practice requirement when recorded in the same account; the free package allows repeat practice on one designated scenario per game.

Excluding rejection because of CV screening, interviews, a withdrawn application or a missed assessment. All four conditions apply to the commercial guarantee.

Send your request to info@casepreparation.com from your account email, with your purchase reference, assessment date and official result evidence. Please redact unrelated information. We check the run records in your account and may ask for missing evidence needed to assess the claim.

Approved claims receive the full amount paid for this package, using the original payment method where possible. Platform access terminates on refund. We review a complete claim within 14 days of receiving it and pay an approved refund within 14 days of approval; your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show the money.

This guarantee is additional to mandatory legal rights. You do not need to meet these four conditions to exercise a statutory remedy or withdrawal right that applies to your purchase.

9. Statutory withdrawal and other consumer rights

Applicable consumer law may give you a right to withdraw from an online purchase, including a 14-day withdrawal period for eligible EU/EEA purchases, subject to the rules and exceptions that apply to the supplied digital content or service.

Starting practice or accepting these terms does not by itself waive a statutory withdrawal right. We honour the withdrawal rights and deadlines required by the law applicable to your purchase. Statutory refunds are handled within the applicable legal deadlines, independently of the conditions of our commercial guarantee.

To withdraw where you have that right, send a clear statement to info@casepreparation.com or the postal address above before the applicable deadline. You may use the form below, but you do not have to.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security incident, serious misuse or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to correct the issue. Immediate restrictions may be needed to protect the service or other users.

Any decision affecting paid access must respect applicable consumer rights and proportionate remedies. A refund under section 8 ends platform access.

11. Responsibility and legal rights

Using the simulator does not guarantee any result in McKinsey recruitment. We do not control your assessment, its scoring or McKinsey’s decisions.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or removes mandatory consumer remedies. We do not impose a blanket liability exclusion or a compulsory waiver of statutory rights.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, practice, purchase and refund information is handled. Agreeing to these terms does not constitute consent to promotional emails or optional cookies.

13. Changes to terms

The terms provided at purchase govern that purchase. We may update these terms for future purchases and will notify you of material changes affecting an existing service where appropriate. Changes cannot retroactively reduce an agreed refund guarantee or mandatory consumer rights.

14. Applicable law, complaints and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction. Any choice of law or forum remains subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights applicable to consumers.
